Offshore platforms hold extensive physical spare parts inventories at enormous cost. Obsolete or low-demand parts have long lead times from shore.
Solution
Shell's digital inventory initiative allows certified spare parts to be printed on-demand at approved partner facilities or offshore, eliminating some inventory and reducing lead times from weeks to days.
