Challenge
Conventional pneumatic tyres can deflate, causing unsafe incidents. Airless tyre lattice structures require complex, non-uniform geometry.
Solution
Michelin's Unique Puncture-proof Tyre System (UPTIS) uses 3D-printed composite lattice structures for airless tyres. Partnered with GM for Chevy Bolt pilot programme.

- 01No punctures, no air pressure; lattice enables load-distribution geometry
