The Chiron's extreme performance requires massive brake calipers with very high strength-to-weight ratios. Traditional aluminium calipers were at the limits of performance.

Solution

SLM-printed Ti-6Al-4V monoblock caliper (41 cm × 21 cm × 13.6 cm; 2.9 kg vs 4.9 kg aluminium equivalent). Complex internal channels optimise structural load paths via topology optimisation.
